A Follow-Up Interview with Dr. Seth Fischer

Seth Fischer, MD

Seth Fischer, MD, is a graduate of the University of California/Davis School of Medicine. He suffered a concussion while riding his bicycle near the UC Davis Sacramento campus in 2015. Since his graduation in 2018, Dr. Fischer is pursuing post-graduate studies and training in pediatric anesthesiology. He “matched” for an internship at Highland Hospital and residency at the University of California/San Diego. Dr. Fischer was the senior medical student chosen to give an address at the School’s graduation ceremony in May 2018. In this second interview, he discusses the residual symptoms that he continues to experience, and the failure of the medical profession to fully address chronic conditions. He also provides insights into the difficulties he has had with insurance and legal issues following his injury.
